My son has a hard time eating eggs. How can I offer it to him?
The Tool-be Recipe Book & Nutri-sheets bring you an excellent option with which you can present the egg in a pleasant, creative and delicious way.
It is ideal for children who have more difficulty accepting the texture, smell or taste of eggs prepared in a traditional way.
For this recipe you will need the following ingredients:
• 2 slices of bread (any kind)
• 2 beaten eggs
• 3 tablespoons of milk
• 4 drops of vanilla essence
• Cinnamon powder to taste
• 1 tablespoon butter
Optional: Nutmeg to taste
To prepare the toast, we can use slices of bread that is not so fresh. The thicker the bread, the more the egg mixture will absorb.
Beat the eggs so that the white and yolk are well mixed. Add the milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg and stir.
We submerge a slice of bread in the mixture and turn it over so that both sides of the bread are impregnated.
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the previously soaked bread with the mixture and cook it until it is golden on both sides. Do the same with the other slice of bread.
Accompany toast with bananas and strawberries. You can spread a little honey or peanut butter on top of them.
For children under 1 year
Cut the toast into sticks that are easy for the baby to grasp. Do not add honey or any other sweet.
